FINDING A RHYTHM

I finally feel like I am finding a creative rhythm and am being productive again. The funny thing is, it is not a new rhythm, it is an old one. Much of what I am really doing is regaining that which was lost. There was a drive I once had, a desire to create images and tell stories that fell by the wayside somewhere along the line. I had the techniques and I even had the ideas. They were proven. I just didn't believe in them. Looking back, I could say that had I continued on that line from back then, there's no telling how far along things might be now.

That is, of course, the past, and it is much better to push forward into the future. As such, I'd like to refine my creative rhythm into a solid schedule and just create. As I mentioned before, I gained a lot of inspiration from my travels. Some of that has formed into an idea and a story, images and concepts that I can see on screen. It is not a small thing, but I have the drive to make it, and so I will begin creating and see where it all goes. Seeing what others have achieved selling content on the download sites in Japan, and even looking at what success I've had there with the little I've done, I can see it going pretty far.

On another note, I've finally gotten Jerry into the world of Skype. She is still in Australia, after Victor and Sally left her to return to Korea, and she is managing. Now we are able to talk regularly like the good old days. I don't have a cam at the moment, butsince she has a Macbook, same as I once had, that stuff is built in for her. Victor and Sally also have Macbooks and are on Skype. Apparently the three of them did a group call, and were somehow joined by the president of Del Monte fruit company, who they met in Korea, and Jerry said it was as though they were all sitting in the same room. I hope to join them next time.

The wind and rain have been hard and heavy these last few days. Just when we got electricity back too. I sometimes wonder if the new system will hold up under the storms. Of course, it is so much more solid than previously, so there shouldn't be any issues. Besides, the wind and rain make a nice sound backdrop for sitting and working long hours. It's like those CDs people buy to listen to the ocean and relax.

I'm still in talks with my friend at the studio in China and we are getting close to writing up a contract so we can begin cooperating on projects, and selling my previous works there. I may yet find myself in China later this month. Who knows? That could just be another exciting chapter in this adventure.
