PURPOSE VS. LITTLE THINGS
In everyday life we often encounter little things. These are the chance meetings, small conversations, things on TV, or things we do like shopping or washing clothes. Most of our time is used on these little things. In dealing with these, though, we must never lose sight of our larger purpose, our goals, the bigger things which make our lives complete. These are the most important things, like what we want to do with our life, what we want to have or become. These larger things we must always keep in mind.
To have a larger purpose is what keeps us going forward everyday. Someone may travel to another country, work, grow and try to build something better for their life. The reason for this is because they have a larger purpose. They see a vision of what they really want for their life, and they are reaching for that vision. They want to make that vision real. Yet, everyday they are dealing with little things, and these little things take up most of thier time. This may make it seem like all these little things are more important, but this is not true.
All of the little things we encounter everyday, are like a jigsaw puzzle. Each piece is put together with others to form a larger whole. That whole should be the vision of what we want for our life. Any piece by itself is meaningless, but in order to complete the puzzle, each piece is absolutely necessary. This is how we should see the little things in our lives. Each little thing, be it washing clothes, putting gas in the car, eating out with friends, or watching TV, is part of a bigger picture and its importance is determined by how it fits into that larger picture. No piece can be ignored, but no piece can be as important as the whole picture.
We have to see the bigger picture, our goal or our vision, in everything that we do. We must see, at all times, our goal and know that even the smallest thing we do is actually a part of it. It is all related or connected, just like the jigsaw puzzle.

Should we also be eliminating the little things that are NOT part of the bigger picture?
Only those that interfere with or take away from the larger picture coming together properly. Little things that are fun and frivolous, but don't detract from the picture, are harmless.
That was the longest, most skillfully written, post of 100% bullshit masking justification for languidness I've read in a while!
And I am not scorning you for it, I embrace it!
What can I say? I have a talent...
