TURNING JAPANESE

I am now sitting in the Incheon airport preparing to depart to Osaka Japan. It is only for a rather short visit, primarily to renew my visa to stay in Korea, which expires next week. With this trip, I will get another 3 months to stay here, though I don't suspect I'll need it. There are a few different WIFI hotspots around the airport, but the signals are mostly weak, making it difficult to write a blog update here. When I first arrived here, around 6:30 AM this morning, I found a hotspot which allowed me to start, but it has been two hours or more since then as I continue.

I woke up at 4:00 using an alarm feature on my iPhone. I set an alarm on my Korean phone too, but it never went off. I took a shower and began to prepare, thinking that I would be heading out at 5:00. I was surprised when Justin, who I'm traveling with, called around 4:30 saying he was on his way. We were planning to take a 5:30 limousine bus to the airport, but apparently he found an earlier bus which would have us traveling at a time with much lighter traffic.

The limo bus was comfortable and quite large. Without traffic st that early morning time, the ride was quick and uneventful. I heard it takes up to two hours to reach the airport, but we did it in an hour and twenty minutes. What this basically means is a lot of waiting. That's why I have time to write this. It is still 45 minutes until departure and then a two hour flight to get there. Jerry asked me to buy her some jelly when I'm there. I don't know what it is with her and jelly. Anyway, if hotspots abound in Japan, I will try to keep this updated. I figured out how to use the camera on my Korean cell phone, since the iPhone camera doesn't work, but I have no way to get any pictures I might take uploaded here until I figure out how to connect the thing to a computer and transfer the images. I guess I'll look into that when I get back. For now, I'll look forward to a real adventure.
